Exicycler™ 96 Real-Time Quantitative Thermal Cycler is the ideal qPCR instrument for molecular diagnostics.
The Diagnostic Software included with the instrument, along with AccuPower® diagnostic kits are forging a new path in molecular diagnostics.
The instrument can be divided into two sections: The upper optics section and lower 96-well thermal block section.
At the heart of the optics section lies Bioneer’s patented Light Tunnel Technology (LTT) which greatly increases signal sensitivity and
reproducibility. The fluorescence signals acquired through the optics section is transferred to the controlling PC where the Diagnostics
Software analyzes the results and reports the outcome.
Because the Diagnostics Software contains all the information about all AccuPower® diagnostic kits, basic setup takes but a few clicks.
This allows for fast and efficient molecular diagnostic experiments to occur.

Light Tunnel Technology:
Most qPCR instruments on the market have a significant difference in light intensity between the middle and edges of the
96-well plate. Bioneer has designed a patented optics system (LTT) to mitigate this shortcoming, and by applying the technology
to Exicycler™ 96, we have succeeded in solving the light intensity problem that long-plagued qPCR instruments.
True 5-color Multiplexing:
Instruments with uneven excitation light fields must use a reference dye to compensate for the difference in fluorescence
intensity, thus wasting a channel. Exicycler™ 96 does not require a reference dye and thus preserves a channel,
allowing the user to harness all five filter sets making true 5-color multiplexing a reality.

Simultaneous 96-well Measurement:
Because Exicycler™ 96 uses a high-sensitivity 2D-CCD sensor for measuring fluorescence,
there is no lag-effect commonly present in lesser qPCR systems. (Lag effect: Single-well or strip scanning qPCR instruments
have a time difference between the measurement of the first and last samples, while the reaction is continuing across
the plate at the same rate)
High-performance Light Source:
Exicycler™ 96 uses a high-luminosity, wide-spectrum short-arc lamp for higher sensitivity and reproducibility
compared to halogen lamp solutions. Also, because the life of the lamp is long and light source is stable,
a variety of fluorescent dyes across the spectrum can be used without a problem.
Automatic Door Opening/Closing:
Because the opening and closing of the instrument door is motorized,
loading is not only convenient but allows the instrument to be incorporated into automated systems.
